This document provides a summary of some of the work the TrackOne Studio development team have worked on recently. We have tried to include only those that are of interest to the majority of schools. Minor changes, or custom development affecting only a single school, have not been included.

New developments and improvements:

NAPLAN

We have updated the 2025 State and national averages in all Suites.

You can find the State Comparison report in Analytics > External Assessment > NAPLAN Analysis

**Note that this report will only work if your school has included Scores as criteria during the upload.

  • We've also made a couple of changes to the Analytics > NAPLAN Analysis.
    - Added an onscreen legend to explain the colourings.
     - Fixed the Result Monitoring export so that all colours are exported correctly.

Configuration Settings

There are many configuration settings that are sitting in the database, which we will be gradually moving to the front end to make it easier for schools to manage. We have done the following so far:

  • Christmas Theme
Did you know that you can show a little Christmas image, within your preferred date range?
Administration > Configuration > School > School Calendar Setup
When set, the image shows in the Analytics screen:

  • GPA terminology
It is possible to change the 'GPA' label to another label - up to 5 characters - for example 'DI'
This replaces most of the occurrences of the default term 'GPA' throughout the Suite.
Administration > Configuration > Application > Activate Features and Display Options: 'System Label Overrides' section

  • Criteria asterisk
If you have any Overall Result schemas where the calculation method is set to 'Calculate subject result from multiple criteria', you may wish to display an asterisk after the subject result to highlight that the result has been calculated from criteria.
Administration > Configuration > Application > Activate Features and Display Options: 'Subject Criteria' section

General changes

  • When adding Result Mappings to schemas, it was previously possible to add duplicate mappings for the same Result Code. This caused issues throughout the Suite, so validation has been added to check that a duplicate mapping is not being created. If found, a message will inform the user:  A matching Result Code already exists in this schema.

  • Fixed an issue where Houses were not displaying in some screens, such as the Incident Summary report.

LMS schools

  • Links to students from the Class Markbook
This is a very handy feature and is consistent with the student links found in the Class Summary screen.
    • Click on a students photo (or photo placeholder if you are not displaying student photos) to open their School Results screen.
    • Click on a students name to open their School Profile screen.

  • Markbook Comments - Assessment Reflection
If you have the permission 'Student - View Continuous Assessment Comments' you will see a screen titled 'Assessment Reflection' (Analytics > School Results > Continuous Results > Assessment Reflection).
The results column was showing multiple zeroes, so we're now showing these with the same number of decimals that display in the Class Markbook (up to 3 decimal places).

  • Markbook Comments - Class Markbook
In some circumstances, for example where teachers had copied student comments into Schoolbox, unicode characters were displaying in the Suite, and were pushing to the SIS. We now strip these out so that this issue no longer occurs.

  • Automatic Sync: Learning Analytics Suite --> SIS (TASS / Synergetic)
We have updated and improved the automatic synchronisation feature.
     * Please speak with the TrackOne support team if you are interested in this feature and to check if your set up is compatible with this function.

SEQTA schools

  • The Suite now reads the 'Gender' field so that gender information, filters and reports are now functional.
